PropTech Hub WA is honoured to be situated on the ancestral lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people. PropTech Hub WA acknowledges the First Australians as the traditional owners of the lands we represent and pays respects to their Elders both past and present.
In respect to ancestral traditions and customs, we celebrate the six noongar seasons.
Birak - (December & January) rain eases and the warm weather starts to to be felt. We stay close to the coast to enjoy the sea breezes. This is when we have the Mandurah Tech Fest.
Bunuru - (Febraury & March) is a time to look out for the female zamia flower. This is when we run the Women In PropTech Perth Program.
Djeran - (April & May) many flying ants can be seen cruising around in the light winds. This is when innovators fly nationally and internationally in a delegation to share and connect with industry and investors.
Makuru - (June & July) is the wettest time of year and it's a good idea to move inland from the coast. This is when we visit regional towns inland to inspire and grow innovation.
Djilba - (August & September) is the start of the massive flowering explosion and a feeling of growth. This is when we're heavily focused on attracting investment for innovators.
Kambarang - (October & November) we can see an abundance of colours and October is the most likely time of the year you'll encounter reptiles as they awaken from hibernation and move to warmth for energy. This is when have many face to face initiatives to bring the community together to energise, connect, share and prepare for the seasons to come.
