PropTech Hub WA are the pioneers that transformed Perth into the PropTech Capital of Australia.
"We judge this based on our performance nation wide and the annual innovation program executed month on month serving our PropTech members".
Cullum Ashton - Chair, PropTech Hub WA
PropTech Hub WA began with eight property and construction technology members, and we started planning initiatives to help innovators connect with industry and investors. Since then, we are proud to have had over 800 members and more than 250 initiatives successfully connecting innovators to industry & investors.
We are and always will be the peak body for property and construction technology in Western Australia. However, due to our success and desire for Western Australian innovation to grow we are now transferring our experience and knowledge to other tech sectors and have established the primary innovative sectors of Western Australia.
PropTech Hub WA is now leading the primary innovative sectors of Western Australia including property & construction, agriculture, food & beverage manufacturing, resources (mining & energy), defence, tourism and space exploration.
PropTech Hub WA is honoured to be situated on the ancestral lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people. PropTech Hub WA acknowledges the First Australians as the traditional owners of the lands we represent and pays respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
In respect to ancestral traditions and customs, we celebrate the six noongar seasons.
Birak - (December & January) rain eases and the warm weather starts to to be felt. We stay close to the coast to enjoy the sea breezes. This is when we have the Mandurah Tech Fest.
Bunuru - (Febraury & March) is a time to look out for the female zamia flower. This is when we run the Women In PropTech Perth Program.
Djeran - (April & May) many flying ants can be seen cruising around in the light winds. This is when innovators fly nationally and internationally in a delegation to share and connect with industry and investors.
Makuru - (June & July) is the wettest time of year and it's a good idea to move inland from the coast. This is when we visit regional towns inland to inspire and grow innovation.
Djilba - (August & September) is the start of the massive flowering explosion and a feeling of growth. This is when we're heavily focused on attracting investment for innovators.
Kambarang - (October & November) we can see an abundance of colours and October is the most likely time of the year you'll encounter reptiles as they awaken from hibernation and move to warmth for energy. This is when we have many face to face initiatives to bring the community together to energise, connect, share and prepare for the seasons to come.
The Centre of the Nation Report 2024 identifies if there is an entity representing a PropTech cohort within the nations states and territories, as well as the national outlook, landscape and highlights.
At PropTech Hub WA, we provide our partners, members and their guests an unmatched service of care and opportunity in Western Australia.

Property & construction innovation are interconnected sectors that contribute significantly to the built environment and the economy as a whole. Both industries involve a wide range of activities and professions, from real estate development, property management, to civil engineering and building construction.
A focus on this sector goes a long way towards affordable housing, meeting supply & demand targets in WA, as well as bolstering an innovative sector that is important to the WA economy.
Resource innovation is essential for addressing global challenges such as climate change, resource depletion, and environmental degradation. By fostering creativity, collaboration, and technological advancement, resource innovation enables the transition towards more sustainable and resilient systems that meet the needs of present and future generations. Western Australian resources have been a significant factor in our prosperity, and advancing our capability ensures longevity of WA projects.
Food and beverage manufacturing involves the production, processing, packaging, and distribution of food and beverage products in Western Australia for local, national & global consumption.
It encompasses a wide range of activities carried out by manufacturers, processors, and distributors to transform raw agricultural ingredients into finished food and beverage products that meet consumer demand. Our focus is on sustaining WA's food supply & security.
Defence innovation involves the development and application of new ideas, technologies, and strategies to enhance WA & Australian defence capabilities, address emerging challenges, and improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and agility of defence organisations.
Innovation within the defence sector encompasses a wide range of activities aimed at advancing military technologies, tactics, and doctrines to maintain strategic capabilities, protect national security interests, and adapt to evolving geopolitical conditions.
Innovative tourism and innovative trade both refer to leveraging new ideas, technologies, and strategies that enhance the experiences and efficiencies within their respective industries.
Innovative tourism and trade involve leveraging innovation and creativity to enhance the competitiveness, sustainability, and inclusiveness of their respective industries, ultimately contributing to economic growth, job creation, and sustainable development.
Innovative space exploration and habitation involve the development and application of advanced technologies, methodologies, and strategies to explore outer space, expand human presence beyond Earth, and enable sustainable space habitats.
This multi-disciplinary field encompasses a wide range of activities aimed at advancing scientific knowledge, space technology, and space infrastructure to support human and robotic missions to space from Western Australia.
